Environmental certification
Nuova CD has also started an ambitious plan to reduce and manage waste through awareness training of reuse and recycling that led us to obtain the UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Certification.
The Environmental Certification requires careful monitoring of the management of waste produced and sent for recycling and also the management of energy resources that inevitably impact on the environment, leading us to invest increasingly in renewable and low-impact energy.

The reorganisation of flows and packaging management has made it possible to obtain the following results:
- volumetric reduction;
- reduction of stored volumes;
- decrease in the quantities of CO2 released into the environment;
- reduction of trips required for disposal and vehicle traffic

Nuova CD uses clean energy, thanks to the use of large solar panel systems. The use of solar energy to produce electricity is useful to reduce the use of traditional fossil fuels and therefore reduce CO2 emissions as well as many other pollutants.
Each kWh produced by solar panels avoids the emission of 0.53 kg of carbon dioxide. This has led us to make important investments in the construction of photovoltaic systems and at the same time replace the most energy-intensive lighting systems in order to significantly increase the percentage of clean energy used by our company.
Construction of rainwater recovery systems
Water is becoming an increasingly precious commodity and we do not fully recognise how essential it is for everyone's lives. Care for the environment has led us to value rain as an alternative to running water a series of activities thanks to its characteristics that make it very interesting. It contains a low quantity of limestone and is chlorine-free, two characteristics that allow it to delay the wear of the toilet and appliances and reduce the risk of breakdowns. Our rainwater collection and filtration systems allow us to have a low environmental impact and at the same time slow down the introduction of waste water into the sewers during sudden storms that often cause serious damage to the community.
Voluntary Third Party certification of the application of the Anticovid Protocol
Nuova CD values the health and safety of workers and their families and the desire to guarantee the service we provide to our customers. This has seen us committed to the adoption of rigid protocols and internal procedures that have been integrated with new regulations as they come into force.
As a guarantee for our staff and ]customers, an in-depth analysis of all measures to combat the spread of Coronavirus that we have put in place was requested from an external Certification Body, obtaining the Certification of company protocols by an ICMQ Certification Body.
